The theme of this year's World Water Day, on 22 March 2023, is "Accelerating Change". The aim is to accelerate change in order to solve the water and sanitation crisis and so the motto points to the importance of national and international cooperation in terms of compliance with Sustainable Development Goal 6. In this goal, the UN expressed the will to ensure clean water and sanitation for all people by 2030: access to water should not be a privilege. And because water affects us all, we all need to act.
We can make a difference by changing the way we use, consume and manage water.
One item on the UN's to-do list is "Flush safely: repair leaky water and sewer pipes".
So let's continue to do our part and do what we can. Because every drop counts!
